في الحديث الصحيح الذي رواه الترمذيّ - رحمه الله – عن عائشة - رضي الله عنها - قالت: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "يكون في آخر الأمة خسف، ومسخ، وقذف، فقالت عائشة - رضي الله عنها -: يا رسول الله أنهلك وفينا الصالحون؟ قال: "نعم إذا ظهر الخبث

وعند أحمد

"لا تقوم الساعة حتى يُخسف بقبائل، فيقال: من بقي من بني فلان؟

وروى الترمذي - والحديث صحيح –

عن عمران بن حصين رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "في هذه الأمة خسف، ومسخ، وقذف، فقال رجل من المسلمين: يا رسول الله ومتى ذلك؟ فقال: إذا ظهرت القيان والمعازف، وشربت الخمور

And according to Ahmad

“The Hour of Resurrection will not come until tribes are swallowed up, and it will be said: Who remains of the Banu So-and-so?”

Al-Tirmidhi narrated

- and the hadith is authentic - on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “In this nation there will be distortion - eclipse, and stoning” A Muslim man said: “O Messenger of God, when will that be?” He said: “When female singers and musical instruments appear, and alcohol is drunk.”

The rockfall may have been caused by a meteorite entering the Earth's atmosphere and transporting thousands of small rocks. However, such an event is usually accompanied by a sonic boom, which has not been documented in any of the reported cases.

The scientists and academics

have been reluctant to study the subject in any rigorous way. It is assumed that examining the nature of the rocks and whether they were local to the area where they fell or from farther away, including outer space, could at least help shed some light on the mystery until then.
